HOW TO AVOID PLAGIARISM Pull all your research articles Highlight what you think is interesting or important to your paper Rewrite in your own words OR use a direct quote. If it is someone else’s idea, you still have to cite it. You can cite your quote in the lead-in, for example, “According to the article, “Plagiarism on the Rise” in the March, 2014 issues of Time magazine, 83% of students plagiarize at least one time in their life.
