2 Outcomes are clear to the student. Where are students relative to the outcome…a pre- assessment phase? Final evaluation on authentic compilation of assessment devices Revisit outcomes to think about Instructional design. (Learning styles, complexity) What evidence will show that students have met the outcomes? Plan to assist students when the outcome is not being met… a new course of action What does good learning look like? (Rubrics and exemplars) Selection of initial input structure for new knowledge Student opportunity to interact and practice with new knowledge to develop fluency Student opportunity to experiment with or use new knowledge more deeply Constant assessment feedback so students can modify learning efforts. 3 Part I: Identifying the ELE Components 1.Identify which of the ELE components are part of the assessment and which are part of the instructional design pillar on the retrieval chart? 2.Watch the first video clip and find evidence of as many of the components as you can. Record on retrieval chart and be prepared to discuss. 3. Watch the second video clip and find evidence of as many of the ELE components as you can. Record on retrieval chart and be prepared to discuss. (Use the retrieval chart provided to record your evidence )

8 Part II: Building Your Lesson Using a Web. 2.0 with ELE’s in Mind 1.Choose a Web tool from the LCHS Professional Learning Community WIKI 2.Build an activity that you or other members of your PLT can use in their class. 3.Fill in which ELE components that your activity covers. Record in column four of the ELE retrieval chart. 4.Post the activity on the LCHS Professional Learning Communities Wiki 5.Use it in your class to effectively engage students!!!!
