316 awards have been given to nonprofits 120 classes with approximately 2000 students have given away: ◦ Traditional direct model of giving: $499,805 ◦ Indirect Giving Model: $67,000 For a grand total of $566,805

Indirect Model ◦ Students review RFP’s submitted to corporate foundation and make recommendations Direct Model ◦ Minimum $1,000 award ◦ Must be given to nonprofit or government agency ◦ Students make decisions regarding who receives the award

Narrow down topic or issue want to focus on Students select nonprofits Reflection – course assignments & award ceremony Few rules and broad guidelines allow implementation across variety of disciplines
