EDGE is a better way of providing training which allows the participants to practice and gain self-confidence through hands-on training experiences. Essentially, it teaches you how to train other Scouts and Scouters. As of January 1 st, 2010, EDGE is now required for all scouts working toward their Tenderfoot and Life ranks. This ranges from teaching a square knot as a Tenderfoot to teaching first aid, cooking, or camping as a Star Scout. 2
3
We are going to perform a skit which will show EDGE in action. We need the patrol leader from each patrol to come up and help us out. Please watch this demonstration of EDGE in motion. 3
