2 Sardinia is an island in the Mediterranean Sea. It is the second biggest island in Italy after Sicily. It’s the third biggest region in Italy after Sicily and Piemonte.

3 Its capital city is Cagliari. It is the biggest city in Sardinia. It’s in the south of Sardinia.

4 The highest mountain in Sardinia is the Gennargentu. The biggest plain is the Campidano. The most important rivers are the Tirso, Flumendosa and the Coghinas. The only natural lake is the Baratz.

5 The island has a Mediterranean climate. A lot of tourists come here for its beautiful beaches.
