3 KING JESUS 1. Judas thought he was in control of the situation (18:1-5)

4 KING JESUS 2. Simon Peter liked to take things into his own hands (18:10-27)

5 KING JESUS 3. His own People wanted to control him by murdering him! (18:19-24)

6 KING JESUS 4. Jesus was Abused: Flogged and Mocked (19:1-3)

7 KING JESUS 5. Pilate controls the situation by handing over an innocent man to be crucified (19:4-16)

8 KING JESUS So Why did Jesus “OUR KING” respond the way that he did on his darkest day?

9 KING JESUS 1.KING JESUS, knew the plan In John 18:4 Jesus, knowing all that was going to happen to him, went out and asked them, “Who is it you want?” John 18:32 This happened so that the words Jesus had spoken indicating the kind of death he was going to die would be fulfilled. He knew the plan!

10 KING JESUS 2.OUR KING, trusted in the Father John 18:11 Jesus commanded Peter, “Put your sword away! Shall I not drink the cup the Father has given me?”

11 KING JESUS 3.OUR KING, was in control John 18:6 When Jesus said, “I am he,” they drew back and fell to the ground.

12 KING JESUS John 18:36 Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jews. But now my kingdom is from another place.” 37 “You are a king, then!” said Pilate. Jesus answered, “You are right in saying I am a king. John 19:11 Jesus answered, “You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above.”

14 How you see God and what you believe about the future will affect how you journey through this life and the tough things that get thrown your way.

15 KING JESUS Learn from THE KING! 1. Get to know the plan

16 KING JESUS Learn from THE KING! 2. Trust in the Father and believe that he is in control of all things

17 KING JESUS Learn from THE KING! 3.Believe that all things work together for your good! Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose.
