3 Practicing the Attitudes of Positive Intention Discuss the following with your table mates: What ideas do you have for fostering the Attitudes of Positive Intention for students? What Attitudes of Positive Intention do you pledge to practice during this course? 3

4 Learning Styles Clock Partners Write 12, 3, 6, and 9 on your clock in the appropriate spots. You will write the names of team members for each time slot. You may want to include details of what they are wearing to help you find them quickly. For 12 o’clock - form a team of three to four members who teach similar content area. For 3 o’clock - form a team of three to four members who teach different content area. For 6 o’clock - form a team of three to four members who have taught the same/similar number of years. For 9 o’clock - form a team of three to four members who have taught different numbers of years.

5 Think, Pair, Share As you meet with your Clock Partners please share your responses to the following: – Who are you? – Where do you live? – What do you teach? – Why did you become a teacher? – When do you love teaching the most? – What is the biggest frustration for you as a teacher?

9 Brainstorm/Collaborate A list of skills you think the students needed to complete Shorewood Lip Dub. A list of instructional strategies the teachers used to help students develop the skills. A list of classes/content areas that could participate in this learning event. A list of standards that could be addressed through this learning event. A list of ways you could assess student’s learning and mastery of skills.

10 AHA Moment Meet with your 12 o’clock partners. Discuss your ideas, thoughts and feelings as you viewed the video and then brainstorm how you could connect standards, instruction and assessment to this Project Based Learning Event. Share your AHA Moment….
