Project «Is the water the same everywhere?» Teacher Planning and Management Background & Planning: Lake Baikal is considered to be the world’s purest water reservoir. It contains 1/5 part of all world reserves of superficial sweet waters. The Angara river, the only Baikal source, is one of the purest rivers distinguished by a high transparency of water. Pupils begin the research with these reservoirs. Are structure and quality of water equal all over Russia? The purpose is to answer this question. Is 1779 km long and has a surface area 1 039 000 km²; On the river 3 hydroelectric power stations are constructed. Ushakovka - inflow of Angara Is 70 km long and has a surface area 9190 km²; Water flow – 2,08 m³/s. Fe 2+ content Maximum allowable concentration
