Where do we start? With various backgrounds and ideas about holiness, it is important to all begin in the same place. Our conclusions and applications about holiness must come directly from what the Bible says.
3
What is holiness? Holiness is Christlikeness. It is loving God with all of your heart, soul, mind, and strength; and loving your neighbor as yourself. Something that is holy has been separated from common use for a special purpose.

Summary God is the source of holiness; it is important to remember that we cannot “grow into” entire sanctification; just as we cannot “grow into” salvation. Rather, as we grow in our relationship with God, we can and, no doubt, will find ourselves positioned for God to do His work of entire sanctification.
