“Bring the whole tithe into the store house, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this, says the Lord Almighty, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for.” (Malachi 3: 10)

2. A Biblical Principle Heb. Ma’ser (tithe) “a tenth part”
Abraham offered a tithe to Melchizedek in gratitude to God (Gen. 14: 18-20)
Tithing/Giving is God’s request. (Malachi 3:8-9; Lev. 27:30; 2Cor. 8: 2-5; Acts 2: 44-45)
“Storehouse” central storage/distribution. A spiritual/physical centre (local assembly)
Used to support God’s purpose and work

3. Tithing / Giving is Worship Because It Declares:
God owns everything!
“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for he founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters.” (Ps. 24:1&2)
We are stewards! (He has entrusted us)
“What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not?” (1Cor. 4:7)

4. Tithing / Giving is Worship Because It Declares:
Money is not greater than God nor others!
“No one can serve two masters. … he will hate the one and love the other… You cannot serve both God and Money” (Matt. 6: 24)
There is a greater cause!
“But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.” (Matt. 6:20)

5. Tithing / Giving is Worship Because It Declares:
Our sacrifice! (It is not equal giving it is equal sacrifice)
“For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability.” (2Cor. 8:3)
Our Joy! (inner joy & gladness)
“Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” (2Cor. 9:7)

6. Tithing / Giving is Worship Because It Declares:
Our trust in God! (sowing and reaping operates in tithing and giving as it does in other areas of life)
“…and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for.” (Mal. 3:10)
“And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” (2Cor. 9:8)
God blesses our 90%.

7. Tithing / Giving is Worship
Because It Declares:
His enormous generosity!
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son…” (Jn. 3:16)
We give because he gave.
We emulate his beautiful generosity.
