2 Noun: a person, place, thing or idea *answers the question “who” and “what” person: sister, lawyer, aunt, Sally place: Oklahoma, classroom, office thing: desk, pen, watch idea: love, happiness, bravery

3 Concrete noun: a noun that can be registered by the five senses EX: cat, teacher, airplane

4 Abstract noun: a noun that can NOT be registered by the five senses EX: curiosity, dedication, relaxation

5 Proper Noun: name of a specific person, place or thing. (Always capitalized) EX: Sally, United States, Monday

6 Common Noun: ordinary people, places, or things EX: brother, desk, notebook

7 What are the nouns in the sentence? The boys were excited to go to the mall. The three desks were in the hallway. My mom and dad were at the movies.
