6 What is the difference between common and proper nouns?

7 A common noun is any one of a group of persons, places, things or ideas and is not capitalized.

12 A concrete noun names a person, place, or thing that can be perceived by at least one of our senses (sight, hearing, taste, touch, smell)

14 What is an abstract noun?

15 An abstract noun names an idea, a feeling, a quality, or a characteristic. You can’t experience it with your senses.

16 Examples of abstract nouns: Idea – fun, freedom Feeling – love, happiness Quality – beauty, wisdom Characteristic – self-esteem
