3.   This supporting tool is used to create screen casts with audio recording and desktop screen recording at the same time  The screen casts can be published as movie files on a computer, or uploaded to YouTube About Screencast-O-Matic MENU

4. In Screencast-O-Matic, you can decide what part of your screen you want others to see by sizing your screen (looks like cropping tools), and that will be the only part recorded. The big red circle is the only button you need to press to record. MENU Continue to see “stop recording”

5. When you are finished recording, you can either click the blue pause button or press DONE to get to the publishing page (both ways will get you to the publishing page). MENU Continue to see publishing

6. Now you can publish to the Screencast-O-Matic app, to Youtube, or to a video file on the computer with one click! Your screencast is complete! MENU

7.  I think that the Screencast-O-Matic tool itself is very user friendly and simple to navigate. As soon as a recording is stopped, the app will ask if you would like to keep recording or publish. There is no confusion in what to do once a screencast is finished. You can also close the app and open it again, and continue on the same screencast, by either publishing or continue recording. 10.  Pros Cons  This product is an easy download.  When you press “Record” button and it will automatically begin recording screen and audio.  After you’ve stopped recording, you can still edit. (I did in my example to correct myself)  You can upload as movie file or YouTube in one click after the screencast has stopped recording.  You can only work on one screencast at a time.  Once your screencast is publish it gets deleted from the screencast app (still saved as movie or YouTube file).  You cannot close caption a screencast in the app.  In the free version, there are no editing tools (slowing down audio or screen).
