2 Direct 0bjects Rachelboughta cat. Rachel bought what? cat=D.O. Rachel bought cat

3 Direct objects are never used with linking verbs. Example-I am the teacher.=NO D.O. Change the verb=I teach grammar. Teach what? grammar=D.O. There can be more than one direct object in a sentence. Example- My mom made coffee and tea last night. coffee and tea=D.O.

4 Who? What? Underline each D.O. 1.Mrs. Dawson gave me the answer. 2.The director instructed the many actors. 3.Did you see the blue paper? 4.I should have packed my lunch. 5.Reference books offer us information.
