3 OBJECTIVES: TO HELP STUDENTS TO LEARN THERE ARE MANY DIFFERENT RACES. TO TEACH CHILDREN ABOUT THE DIFFERENT RACES TO HELP THE STUDENTS TO UNDERSTAND AND APPREPRIATE EACH OTHER’S BACKGROUNDS

7 ACTIVITY ONE: ASK THE STUDENTS TO REACH THEIR RACIAL BACKGOUND IN GROUPS OF FOUR, EACH STUDENT DESCRIBES THEIR RACE

8 ACTIVITY TWO: AFTER EACH STUDENTS DESCRIBES THEIR RACE, THEY WILL EXPLORE THE DIFFERENT RACES IN THE WORLD.

9 ACTIVITY THREE: AFTER EXPLORING DIFFERENT RACES, THEY WILL TELL THE CLASS SOMETHING THEY LEARNED FROM SOMEONE ELSE IN THEIR GROUP

10 ACTIVITY FOUR: STUDENTS WILL DISCUSS HOW TO DEAL WITH AND UNDERSTAND DIFFERENT RACES IN THE CLASSROOM AND IN THE ENTIRE WORLD.

11 ACTIVITY FOUR CONT AFTER A CLASS DISCUSSION ABOUT DEALING WITH DIFFERENT RACES, THE STUDENTS WILL BE GIVEN SITUATIONS AND ASKED WHAT THEY WOULD SAY OR DO IF IN THAT SITUATION

12 ACTIVITY FIVE NEXT THE STUDENTS WILL WRITE A PARAGRAPH ABOUT A NEW RACE THEY LEARNED ABOUT IN THESE ACTIVITIES.

13 WRAP-UP DISCUSSION OF WHY DIVERSITY AMONG RACES IS IMPORTANT. STUDENTS WILL ALSO TALK ABOUT WHY EVERYONE IS SPECIAL NO MATTER THEIR RACE.

14 HOMEWORK STUDENTS WILL WRITE A PARAGRAPH ABOUT WHAT THEY LEARNED ABOUT DIFFERENT RACES AND HOW TO DEAL WITH OTHERS OF DIFFERENT RACES IN THEIR COMMUNITY AND CLASSROOM.

15 HOMEWORK CONT STUDENTS WILL FIND A WEBSITE ABOUT DIVERSITY AND SEE WHAT INFORMATION THEY CAN FIND OUT ABOUT IT AND WHY IT IS IMPORTANT IN OUR WORLD.

16 DIVERSITY THIS CONCEPT IS AN IMPORTANT ONE FOR EVERYONE TO KNOW AND UNDERSTAND. DIVERSITY IS DIFFERENCES AMONG PEOPLE.

17 CONCLUSION BY THE END OF THIS LESSON, THE STUDENTS WILL UNDERSTAND WHAT RACIAL DIFFERENCES ARE AND WHAT DIVERSITY IS. THE STUDENTS WILL APPREPRIATE RACIAL DIFFERENCES AND EMBRACE THE DIVERSITY AROUND THEM.

18 CONCLUSION CONT THE STUDENTS WILL DEMOSTRATE THEIR NEW UNDERSTANDING IN THE WAY THEY ACT IN THEIR EVERY DAY LIFE.

19 OVERVIEW OF LESSON DIVERSITY IS AN ESSENTIAL PART OF OUR WORLD. DIVERSITY AND RACIAL DIFFERENCES MUST BE UNDERSTOOD BY ALL PEOPLE. DIVERSITY IS WHAT MAKES OUR WORLD SPECIAL AND UNIQUE.
