5 Poseidon’s Domain Poseidon was the god of the sea, horses, earthquakes, and all the waters.

6 Relatives Poseidon has many relatives.
His father is Kronos, his mother is Rhea, his brothers are Zeus, Hades, and Chiron, and his sisters are Hera, Demeter, and Hestia. Oceanus, Nereus, Proteus, and Phorcys were his uncles, and Tethys, Ceto, and Dione were his aunts. He had a wife named Amphitrite, and many sons and daughters.

7 Weapons Poseidon’s main weapon was his trident, which is also one of his main symbols.

8 Special Powers He is immortal. Can resist injuries.
He is very, very strong. Can control storms. Also has control of the ocean. Controls all creatures in the sea. Can breathe underwater.

9 Personality Traits Poseidon is very strong. He controls many things.
He can be moody, sometimes and when he is angry, the ocean is rough. He is very violent. Poseidon is greedy, also.

10 Myths Poseidon rides chariots in the sea, and horses are his most special creations. Poseidon and Athena competed to be the god that Athens would worship. The king of Athens, at the time, told the two of them to bring a gift that would be useful to Athens. Poseidon lost and Athena so Poseidon cursed the city with a problem with water. To this day, in real life, Athens has a problem with water.

11 Other Characteristics
Poseidon was married to Amphitrite, but he had a strong passion for his sister, Demeter. However, that feeling wore off later on. Poseidon had a beard. One of his other (non-main) symbols are the fish spear.
