2 Workshop objectives To ensure that consortium members are familiar and in agreement with the overarching project design To collaboratively map and agree upon water governance priorities in the Nu-Thanlwin-Salween river basin amongst the consortium members, including themes and geographical target areas (for village-level research) To co-design and agree upon the research method for the regional/ national/ transnational-level water governance To ensure that all consortium members understand the project reporting requirements (narrative and financial), and the allocated budget per organization To develop a short-term activity plan over the next 6 months

5 Next steps (for inception workshops) Meeting with Dr. Yu on May 21 / 22 briefly in Bangkok Vanessa will be in the region in June, and we will then go to meet Dr. Yu for a China inception workshop In Chiang Mai, on July 24 and 25, at the Myanmar Studies conference, it will be an opportunity to further the university network
