Compare + Contrast Biographies  The first biography I have is called “Bo Jackson Pro Sports Superstar”. It is 59 pages long. It gives a lot of information. It tells about a lot of his life, from when he was a kid, to what he did when he was an adult.  The second one, I got of the internet on biography.com. It is about a page long. It tells you five facts about him, and it tells you about his career too. It doesn’t have as much information as the other one.  They were the same because they both gave information about his career. They both talk about how the Yankees wanted to draft him in High School. That is about all.

About Bo Jackson  There are lots of cool things about Bo besides for how great he was in Football and Baseball. He had to take care of his family in the short time when he was home. He has a wife, and three kids. He likes to spend time with his kids. He also has hobbies at home like archery (he often set it up on the football field and shoot a bulls eye for his teammates), he fishes, and he likes to hunt.  He also loves his fans. He said he would never turn a kid down to an autograph. He likes to visit sick children in the hospitals. He likes to work with charities. Bo is just a very nice guy on and off the field.  Bo had an outstanding career. He is still alive. He is 50 years old. I think he’s had a great career, and a great life so far. He did have a lot of strikeouts though. Babe Ruth was one of the best, and he had a ton of strikeouts, so that isn’t really that important.

Click on the Web Address for Music  This is Bo’s other favorite singer. Her name is Mahalia Jackson. She mostly sings about God. Like I said before, Bo likes Gospel Readings, and music about God. The song is called “How I Got Over”  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l49N8U3d0Bw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l49N8U3d0Bw

Bo Jackson Facts  Bo Jackson’s name is really Vincent Edward Jackson  His Chinese Zodiac sign is Sagitiarius  He was born in Bessemer, Alabama  He turned 50 years old last year  He was in a commercial in the 1989 football All-Star Game for Nike Shoes  In the commercial he also was playing the guitar with a Guitar Hall of Famer

Bo Jackson Mock Interview  Q: Bo, what were you like when you were a kid?  A: I actually was like the school, or neighborhood bully.  Q: What did you do to be a bully?  A: I was just a big kid, and got into trouble. One day me and my friends decided to throw rocks at the Priests Pigs. After a few minutes of throwing rocks, about $3,000 worth of pigs were dead. That’s when I decided to stop being a bully.  Q: What made you decide to play both sports?  A: I was good at both, and people always told me I wouldn’t, and couldn’t do it.  Q: What did your family think about your decision to play both Baseball and football?  A: My mom kept telling me I would get injured and hurt in football. She was right. I had many injuries  Q: What made you retire from football but still play baseball?  A: I n 1991, in the middle of a football game against Cincinnati, I was hit very hard in the hip. At first we all thought it was minor. It turned out to be very serious. “So I quit the punishing sport of football, and focused on baseball.  Q: Why did you go to the Chicago White Sox?  A: Because the Royals didn’t want to pay me for being injured. So they released me. The White Sox picked me up.  Thank You very much Bo  Your Welcome!

Bo Jackson Quote  “Set your goals high, and don’t stop till you get there” Bo Jackson  That is important. I think that because if I liked to play baseball, for example, he’s saying set your goals high by me trying to get to the major leagues. If you just set your goal to be to get a hit in the game, that isn’t big enough. He is also said “and don’t stop till you get there”. What he means by that is don’t give up, keep trying to  The major league. That’s why I think it is so important.

Thank You For Watching!
