Race/Cruise in Company Race to Leenane – Saturday April 30 th Race around Inishturk Sunday May 1st

Overall plan for weekend Saturday 10.30 – start of race at Dorinish buoy Sail to Leenane (35nm – arriving at around 17.00) 18.00 - BBQ in the hotel Sunday 11.00 - depart for Inishturk (16nm from Leenane) 15.00 - Start of race at Inishturk Harbour 17.00 Finish of Race around Inishturk (dist 8nm) 18.00 – meal in the Community Centre, stew, €10/head Monday – sail back to Rosmoney

Sailing Directions No problem to Roonagh No problem after Inishbearna The middle bit is the the tricky bit Do not go amongst the rocks without a working chartplotter & depth guage Tune to VHF Channel 12 for fleet news

Race around Inishturk There is a cup for the winner Keep 0.5 mile off shore, and you will be clear of any rocks. We will request that pots or nets be moved before the weekend. There will be a few visitors moorings (4), so be prepared to anchor.
