WORKING WITH SOUND & VIDEO CHAPTER 7 PART I

USING SOUNDS Mp3 & WAV files Drag the sound files from the Library panel onto Stage at different points along the Timeline to synchronize with what’s on stage.

IMPORTING SOUNDS FILES File>Import>Import to Library Double click sound file in library to open up sound properties

PLACING SOUNDS ON THE TIMELINE Make a new layer, name it sound. Select a keyframe where you want to place the sound and drag from library onto timeline.

ADDING FRAMES TO THE TIMELINE Insert>Timeline>Frame or F5 So you extend the Timeline so that the entire sound (or at least the portions that you desire) plays before the stop action halts the playhead.

CLIPPING THE END OF A SOUND Select a keyframe In Properties, click the Pencil This props open the Edit Envelope window.

DELETING OR CHANGING THE SOUND FILE Open up the Properties window Click effects and click none Then sound is remove Change sound by selecting name and pick a sound that you have uploaded in the library

SETTING THE QUALITY OF THE SOUNDS File>Publish Settings Click on the audio settings you can change the Bit rate to whatever amount of kbps you want to choose.

ADDING SOUND TO BUTTONS Choose a button layer you have already and enter the symbol-editing mode by double clicking the button in the Library. Make a new layer called sound. Select the Down frame in your sounds layer and insert a keyframe. A new keyframe appears in the Down state of your button.

CONTINUED Drag a sound file into the sound layer then the file appears in the Down keyframe of the sounds layer. You can also add sound to the Over state of a button symbol, and the sound will play whenever the mouse cursor just hovers over the button.
