Who we are Who we are…

3 To form elite level High School Boys/Girls Basketball teams that consist of the most talented players in the Central Texas Region. Our mission is to compete against the best AAU programs in the country and for our players to have the capability to not only compete against those players on the national level but more importantly have an opportunity to expand their careers beyond high school. We stress the importance of the Student Athlete. Although basketball is an intricate part of our grassroots program we pride ourselves on standing by our athletes and creating a platform for excellence. We build positive self-worth and promote diversity by engaging kids in fun and competitive play. Through lessons learned in our program, our goal is to increase the chances that youths will make positive choices and become independent and productive members of society. Our program is shaped by four main pillars of ideology. 1. Academics We are committed to reinforcing the importance of education to the youth of our program. We hold high expectations for all of our members in regards to them putting forth their best effort in the classroom. 2. Athletics We feel that participation in the sports is a great tool to teach skills that can be utilized to help youth better understand the qualities needed to be successful, as well as, lessons that can be beneficial to them throughout their lives. 3. Character The qualities that are essential to having good character are the central theme of our academy and are constantly reinforced through different elements of the program. 4. Community We stress to our members the importance of having a sense of responsibility to give back to the community. I 35 Grassroots Basketball Mission Statement

4 Form a grassroots basketball coalition through partnerships with the majority of the most successful club teams in Central Texas Assist with the development of players, teams and leagues from 4 th grade – 8 th grade Develop an on going professional level training program to help enhance the skills of players from each of the top club teams in central Texas. Take the best talent from each club level program and form elite level HS basketball teams that will represent Central Texas regionally and nationally. The goal for the inaugural(2014) season will be to field 4 competitive Varsity teams. We will add one additional Varsity and 16 and under team each year for the next 3 years. The long term goal is to field 7 HS Varsity and 3 HS(16under teams) that will compete at the highest level nationally each year By cultivating the young talent early in the process at the club level we will produce more well rounded players at the HS level. By combining the talents of the best players from the top club programs in the region we increase our chances of consistently competing at high level on the region and national AAU circuit. We also provide more players from our region with the opportunity to advance their careers beyond HS by going on to play Div I, Div 2, Div 3 or NAIA level basketball. Program Scope
