5.   A high school diploma is required.  There is a minimum of 2 years of college is required.  Many of them require an associates degree.  I would need to have 3 months to a year of full police training.  I would probably have to have 3 to 5 years in the police force as a police officer.  Many of them start out as regular detectives to get more experience.
