R ULES ARE EXPECTATIONS OF APPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR

1. S AFETY 1 ST ! Always use art materials as directed.

2. RESPECT THE PEOPLE, MATERIALS, AND FURNISHINGS IN THE ART ROOM. Give Mrs. Canfield your attention during “Square Time”. Don’t waste materials. Let everyone work in peace. If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.

3. F OLLOW D IRECTIONS T HE 1 ST T IME G IVEN. When Mrs. Canfield is talking, you’re not. Give Mrs. Canfield your attention during “Square Time” so you know what to do.

4. H AVE B USY H ANDS. Come to the Art Room ready to work. Always try your best!

5. C LEAN U P A FTER Y OURSELF. Return all materials to the caddy neatly. Make sure your workspace and the floor around your table is clean. Push your chair in when you get up to leave.

P ROCEDURES Enter the Art Room without talking Select a seat on the Square Give your attention to Mrs. Canfield When you are dismissed, sit in your assigned seat Use only inside voices to talk to others at your table Work only on your project Stay on task Clean up your own mess Wait quietly to be dismissed Push your chair in before you line up
