Hours of Operation n 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM n Before and after school use permitted with a pass. n Lunch use permitted with a pass. n Request a permanent pass at the circulation desk.

POLICIES Check-out Time Limitations Books -- 2 weeks No fines for overdue materials Lost books and damaged items are charged. Unless accompanied by a teacher, you MUST have an official pass. Slips of paper will not be accepted.

Do’s and Don’ts n Do…. Type in your ID number at the computer on the circulation desk. Bring all needed writing materials. n Don’t…. Eat, drink or chew gum. Disrupt others. Use computers inappropriately.

The Internet is a vast network of interlinked computers containing large amounts of information on myriad subjects. Some of these subjects are based on adult content and should not be accessed. To use these outside a Dallas ISD school, you need your EAD username and password. To use the library PAC, you need your ID number.

Books, Books, Books n Automation System Dallink is the library automation system. It is available on all computers and should be used as your first source for materials. Check with a librarian for instruction in its use. http://library.dallasisd.org

Making sense of Dewey... n The Dewey Decimal System was created by Melvil Dewey. It is the number/letter designation that places books in subject order for easy access. The Dewey system divides books into fiction and nonfiction. 629.2 2 RAL Location on shelf Author’s Name
