Retrieving your offices’ returns Navigate to an office’s record in COM Click Returns link on desired office’s record Note: Returns that are in EFC Rejected status will not be available 3 December 6, 2015 - USA Central Office Manager - Return Retrieval

License Agreements must be read and accepted before exporting office returns Select Export Selected Returns Agreements appear only with the initial export COM hosts an agreement you must read and accept Federal Privacy and non-disclosure laws Appears only with initial return export for each office 5 December 6, 2015 - USA Central Office Manager - Return Retrieval

Downloading The Returns Select Export Selected Returns Click Save Browse to desired return storage location Single return downloads Uncompressed format Return filename will appear automatically Multi-return downloads Compressed, zip format When unzipped, the saved returns will be automatically named Note: Compressed files require WinZip or other decompression file program to open the files 145December 6, 2015 - USA Central Office Manager – Return Retrieval

The TaxWise Updates are now available inside COM Each update type has its own link Comparable to information listed on TaxWise Customer Support site Select All or Unselect All links Add To Queue allows the user to add multiple items to the queue Click here to download allows installation of update Remove From Queue removes the update from queue Notify me by email when my products are updated User can choose to be notified when updates are posted for their products 146December 6, 2015 - USA Central Office Manager – TaxWise Updates

Review Returns allows your sub-offices to upload returns to you when they need tax assistance The Sub office logs into COM with their Support site login Any user with a TaxWise Support site login has access to Review Returns Select Tools Select Review Returns Click Upload Return The Upload Return dialog box appears Note: ITIN returns cannot be uploaded December 6, 2015 - USA8 Central Office Manager – Review Returns

A brief description of the issue must be entered before attaching the return Enter the TIN Enter description of issue Click Browse Navigate to return location Click Upload December 6, 2015 - USA9 Central Office Manager – Review Returns

The List of Returns uploaded for Review screen displays pertinent information about the return(s) TIN Original File Name Sub Office Message Hover over link to view the entire message Main Office Message Populates when main office responds Response Date Displays Date/Time main office responded Action(s) Edit - Allows the sub-office to “tweak” their message or switch return files Delete – Allows the sub-office to delete the uploaded return Note: Cannot upload ITIN returns December 6, 2015 - USA10 Central Office Manager – Review Returns

Enter additional information or switch returns using the Edit function Click Edit Enter additional information -OR- Browse to another return file Click Save Changes Click Cancel to return to close the Upload Return dialog box December 6, 2015 - USA11 Central Office Manager – Review Returns

Once uploaded, COM will notify the main office that a return is ready for review A blinking indicator alerts the main office that returns are available for review December 6, 2015 - USA12 Central Office Manager – Review Returns

Uploaded returns can be located under the Tools menu or the sub-office’s Edit Office Info screen Click on Tools Select Review Returns Click the Office Name link to display the uploaded returns Click the Download link beside the desired return December 6, 2015 - USA13 Central Office Manager – Review Returns

The Review Returns menu will display the sub- office(s) information after initial download Tools>Review Returns Contains history of offices you have uploaded returns from Click the Office Name to view a history of returns reviewed Edit Office Info Contains history of returns uploaded from that office Contract Year Not available prior to 2010 EFIN Office Name Office Number Client ID December 6, 2015 - USA14 Central Office Manager – Review Returns

Open the Edit Office Info screen of the office needing assistance Select Review Returns Return information displays December 6, 2015 - USA15 Central Office Manager – Review Returns

Download and save the return to the desired location Select Download Click Save to clipboard Click Save Press Ctrl+V to paste the filename in the File name field Save to UTSXX\Users folder under the desired username December 6, 2015 - USA16 Central Office Manager – Review Returns

Accessing the Return in TaxWise Open TaxWise Login to the correct user Should be the user that created the return Open the File Menu Select Open Return by SSN/EIN Enter the SSN Select Yes on the confirmation dialog box December 6, 2015 - USA17 Central Office Manager – Review Returns

Uploading the reviewed return for sub office access Select Upload link Browse to the desired location Click Upload button to load the corrected return Enter the solution in the Description box December 6, 2015 - USA18 Central Office Manager – Review Returns

The corrected return is now available for the sub office to retrieve The return information is displayed including: TIN Original File Name SubOffice Message MainOffice Message Response Date Click Download and save the file Message appears to replace the existing file December 6, 2015 - USA19 Central Office Manager – Review Returns

Send Mass Email to Sub Offices Click Email Select one, several or choose Select All from the list Click Compose Active only after selection is made Enter a Subject Type desired message in the Email Composition box December 6, 2015 - USA20 Central Office Manager – Send Mass Email

You can Preview your message before sending Click Preview Signature pulls from Office ‘0’ Contact Name Company Name Phone Fax Click Back to return to the email editor and make changes Click Send Email to selected offices if you are satisfied with your email Confirmation that email was sent Click Cancel to exit without sending the email December 6, 2015 - USA21 Central Office Manager – Send Mass Email
