Project History: Original Center was opened in 1996 Functions have been added to the original mission of the Center from time to time Space Study was completed to address housing of these additional functions in 2004 Preliminary studies for placing Harris County Sheriff dispatch functions at the Center were made in 2006 Federal Funds were approved for priority transportation and emergency management expansion projects in 2007 Local Funding for Sheriff expansions failed to pass approval in 2007 Projects to be constructed by Federal funds were prioritized in 2008

8. Front Entrance Security Project ROBERT PERRY HAS PLANS FOR FRONT ENTRANCE WITHOUT BULLET PROOF INTERIOR GLASS STOREFRONT Enlarge Foyer into exiting porch. Sliding front doors. Rolldown storm doors. Construct new porch with handicap ramps and planters. Storm resistant windows to outside, bullet proof storefront panels to lobby side
