GMOs Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) are living things that, during the early stages of life, undergo some sort of unnatural genetic change. GMOs are most commonly seen in the agriculture community with seed modifications.
4
The pros We get weather- and pest-resistant strains of sustaining crops (wheat, corn, cotton, potatoes). We can bring crops to areas that previously couldn’t provide enough recourses to sustain farming.
5
The cons GMOs are not regulated by the FDA. We are literally placing a copyright on living things. Monsanto, the world’s leading producer of genetically modified crops, holds a firm monopoly on the GMO business.
