2. Research Question Does physical therapy help in the long term and what methods are the best to use to help the patients?

3. How did I choose this topic I chose this topic because I am interested in physical therapy and I wanted to know the long term benefits of it. I wanted to know if most people find physical therapy helpful.

4. Narrowing Topic I am researching physical therapy because I went through physical therapy and while it helped ease the pain, the pain returned after I stopped going. I wanted to know if this is typical for others and what methods helped keep pain away.

5. Interesting Facts I have learned that there are different types of physical therapy: heat, cold, electricity, and massage. I have learned that physical therapy jobs are on the rise due to the aging baby boomers. I have also learned that there are many methods of physical therapy including resistance and weight training, Wii fit and therapeutic riding.

6. Annotated sources My annotated sources help me by giving me a lot of information. I have learned what physical therapy is and different types of therapy and who uses physical therapy.

7. Objectives/Goals Be able to find out more information on my topic closer to my subject. Be able to find an advisor. Make a survey to give to patients of physical therapists and find out how they think physical therapy is helping them.

8. Where have you found your most useful information? I have found most of my useful information using the online database. My information comes from journals, books, and magazines. I am hoping once I secure an advisor I will be able to get more information from them.

9. Project Intentions I am hoping to find out what methods of physical therapy helps patients and be able to share what I find. I would like to make a brochure that tells about the types of physical therapy and which might be beneficial to different needs.

10. Closing I think physical therapy is interesting and can really help people if the right methods are used. I hope to find the right methods and help patients benefit from physical therapy.
