Uniform Urban Landscapes Cities have undergone dramatic changes over the years. TNC’s outsource their activities to access cheap labour, vital raw materials, and potential markets. Are urban areas in the world converging in form. Do local and national characteristics still prevail?

L.A. Vietnamese shops. Hong Kong housing in China Town. Homelessness. Shanty Towns (East L.A.). Ethnic/Racial areas.

Seoul Global firms (Mcdonalds). Korean firms (Samsung and Hyundai). CBD has skyscrapers and international firms such as Barclays and Tesco.
