11 Jacobson’s Progressive Relaxation Method (PMR) –Athletes are trained to develop awareness and to control residual muscle tension –Sequence of tensing and relaxing muscle groups –Allows acute awareness of muscle tension –Used to address fear of reinjury and anxiety about return to activity
