2 2 L3 PPVPN, August 2004 Requirements/Frameworks L3 Framework –No change (document approved for publication) L3 Service req'ts –Updated in response to IESG comments –Resubmitted to IESG Security Framework –Updated in response to IESG / security directorate comments –Resubmitted to IESG Generic Requirements for provider provisioned VPNs –Published as RFC 3809

3 3 L3 PPVPN, August 2004 Base Documents BGP/MPLS IP VPNs and –Updates are in progress to respond to IESG comments VR Architecture and CE/IPSec Architecture and –All have passed last call, been submitted to IESG –Intended status for all has been changed to “informational”

4 4 L3 PPVPN, August 2004 AS Guidelines & Terminology AS Guidelines –AS's are "done" (subject to IESG comments) Terminology –Submitted to IESG –Waiting for IESG review (which may depend upon other VPN documents)

5 5 L3 PPVPN, August 2004 MIBs & Network Management Framework for L3VPN OAM –Updates in January, August –Document is ready for working group last call Textual Conventions –Document is ready for working group last call MPLS/BGP MIB –Last call just prior to this meeting –Has been submitted to IESG Virtual Router MIB –New version recently posted –A few minor edits needed (update references, IPR notice,…), then we will have working group last call

6 6 L3 PPVPN, August 2004 Other WG Documents BGP as Auto-Discovery –Submitted to IESG OSPF as PE/CE Protocol –Submitted to IESG BGP/MPLS for IPv6 VPN –Stable. Potentially related presentation to follow PE-PE IPsec for 2547 PE-PE GRE or IP for 2547 –Above are stable, no significant recent updates

7 7 L3 PPVPN, August 2004 Other WG Documents CE-to-CE Member Verif'n – –Work is planned to merge approaches Constrained VPN Route Distribution – –Is now working group document (since last IETF)
