Where Are We Going Exactly, and Why? Fallingwater Kentuck Knob 2. Frank Lloyd Wright was one of the most innovative architect of the 20 th century. Wright practiced radical innovation both as to structure and aesthetics, and many of his methods have since become internationally current. 3. At a time when poured reinforced concrete and steel cantilevers were generally confined to commercial structures, Wright did pioneer work in integrating machine methods and materials into a true architectural expression. 1. One of the great innovators in the history of architecture, Frank Lloyd Wright experimented with new design vocabularies and building systems.

How Are We Getting There? Lakefront Lines! Trip is about 4 hours Seats are fairly comfortable TV screens at intervals along the ceiling above the seats Bathroom on the bus (emergencies only, please!)

Schedule for the Day! Arrival at DESIGNATED ELEMENTARY: 5:45 AM Check in with your child’s teacher to receive your packet. Students will check in with teacher, then find you. Once all your students are present, you and your group can use the restroom inside. Then we load up and Depart about 6:00 AM (1 st seats are for the teacher so she can talk to the driver as needed.) Arrive at first site about 10:30 AM (everyone eats early lunch on the bus, whenever they’re hungry)

Schedule for the Day! Load up and Depart for 2 nd site about 1:00 PM Arrive at 2 nd site about 1:30 PM Load up and Depart for home about 4:15 PM Arrive in St. Clairsville, Ohio for dinner at about 6:30 PM Load up and depart for home about 7:30 PM Arrive at DESIGNATED ELEMENTARY about 9:30 PM

What’s in Your Packet? Names of your kids Schedule Tour time “Nature Path” and Pictures Gift Shop Bathroom Time to load up! Maps, student behavior guidelines, expectations, etc. will be in the Packet as well. There will be a student assignment to be determined.

Expectations Badge Punctuality Discuss what you think and see with the students. Kids’ behavior Please, do NOT take kids to the snack bar.

Things You Might Bring BADGE – you must get from C/O http://www.hilliardschools.org/sch ools/volunteer http://www.hilliardschools.org/sch ools/volunteer small bag for your items and chaperone packet cell phone – please give your child’s teacher the number watch entertainment for the bus a packed lunch and snacks Camera hand sanitizer Tissues small bag. Large bags are not allowed in the houses appropriate clothing for the weather poncho – umbrellas are not allowed in the houses Note: bus will be secure when we are at the site
