Data centers Utah – 7 chassis with 45 compute blades (ARM) – 1 HP Moonshot 1550CM management per chassis Clemson – 93 x86 servers (20 cores each) – 1 management card per server Wisconsin – 100 Cisco x86 servers (16 cores each) – 1 management card per server

Data collection IPMI (Intelligent Platform Management Interface) – Standard for retrieving sensor data – Can also be used for resource inventory IPMI collector – Establishes connection with management card – Periodically samples power sensor data – Stores values in local database – Data Compression on the fly Local databases replicated to UMass for data querying through Web portal

Power Data Web portal User provides Rspec file with resources used and time range Generates zip file with CSV files containing – List of resources – Power data time series for each resource – Optionally provides network and chassis power usage if available Portal available at http://emmy10.casa.umass.edu:8080/CloudLab WebPortal/
