There is nothing in the world like a persuasive speech to fuddle the mental apparatus and upset the convictions and debauch the emotions of an audience not practiced in the tricks and delusions of oratory.

11. Delivery  Practice out loud  Be loud enough  Have eye contact with your audience  Make it interesting by adding inflection which is increasing and decreasing your volume, rate, and pitch  The better you know your material, the easier this is to do

Final thoughts  As a board member or administrator, you will be speaking about your district and what is going on in public education  Be sure you to know what your own district is doing and speak about that  Preparation and practice will help give you the confidence you will need to give an effective presentation
