Adding Favorites When you’re within a database you use often, click “Add to Favorites” for it to automatically appear on your homepage for every research session.

West Key Number System – Topic Search

West Headnotes These show up at the top of every case and give a brief overview of the case’s main points. These connect to the key system and you can use them to search.

West Headnotes These links will lead you to other cases that address that headnote’s specific topic. They refer to the topic overall, but do not necessarily cite the case you’re currently looking at. This link leads to other cases that cite to your exact case regarding that headnote’s specific topic. This is limited to only results that cite to the case you’re currently looking at.

West Headnotes Once you click a headnote, you’ll go to a page like this: Your search bar and jurisdiction are always there to help remind you what you’re searching within
