Chanel COCO The founder of Chanel: Gabrielle Chanel( 加 布瑞拉. 夏奈尔) was born in France‘s Auvergne in 1883 and died in 1971.

In 1910,Chanel opened a millinery shop in paris. In 1921,she introduced the first perfume Chanel NO.5. In the second world war,she closed the couture house. In1954, Chanel re-opened the couture house. In 1955, Chanel introduced the quilted bag. Chanel launched her first eaude toilette for men. In 1957, received the Fashion Oscar. In 1971, Coco Chanel died.

Chanel’s product include perfume, clothing, jewelry, watch, makeup and other luxury goods, which agree with the urban white-collar female workers. With the development of the economy and the education, women’ status is becoming higher and higher. Some urban white-collar female workers pay more attention on themselves. They seek for the fashionable thing. They are highly educated, so they have self-confindece for their taste and affirm their self-worth. The feature of the Chanel’s target market: 1.Middle and high income women 2.Interseted in the fashionable things and economic independent women 3.Those women who have higher taste of life and try to enjoy their life

On March 18th, 2015, CHANEL decreases its price by 20% in Chinese market, while raises its price by 20% in European market. The company declare that it means to reduce the price gap between markets to strike the acts as purchasing agent.

2) Catwalk show To show new products, Chanel always hold a catwalk show, inviting celebrities and meidia to participate. Every session has its totally different topic, which attracts people attention to this sparkling show.
