Aim To clarify the association between serum total cholesterol, triglycerides, CRP levels and coronary artery disease.

Material and methods fasting triglycerides, total cholesterol levels as well as serum C-reactive protein (CRP) 41 men and women aged 22 to 83 years in the III and IV Internal Medicine Hospital, Targu- Mures from October 2013 to January 2014 20 subjects with CHD and 21 patients for the non-CHD control group All data were statistically analyzed.

But no statistically signifficant difference was found

Conclusion No correlation between triglycerides, total cholesterol, CRP level and coronary artery disease Influence of undetected heart disease, lipid-lowering therapies, limited number of patients
