Guide to web safety for Key Stage 1
2
Being safe on the internet is really important. If you follow these rules at all times you can still have lots of fun. Always Be careful, and if you’re not sure about something, ask an adult you trust for help.
3
Keep it to yourself. Some things are private. Don’t tell anyone your full name and address and number and email address.
4
Use a nickname But remember, other people will be using them too. It is easy to lie about who you are on the internet, so always be cautious about what you tell people.
5
Don’t arrange to meet in person. Your friend might not be friendly. If you decide to go anyway, take an adult you trust, and meet in a public place.
6
What is it? If someone you don’t know well sends you an email or a file attached to an email, don’t open it. It could contain a virus, or a picture you don’t want to see. Just delete it.
7
Ask an adult. If you see or read anything worrying on the internet, speak to an adult you know well. They can help you.
