Guidelines for Procurement of Professional Aerial Imagery, Photogrammetry, Lidar and Related Remote Sensor-based Geospatial Mapping Services Background May ‘06: ASPRS Board votes to update 1986 procurement guidelines Oct. ‘06: Ad hoc work group formed to include ASPRS, MAPPS and ACSM Purpose / Charter: Develop updated document, which: 1.Includes updated technological references; 2.Maintains consistency NCEES Model Law and Model Rules; 3.Addresses professional services vs. products; 4.Includes guidance for determining when qualifications-based selection processes should be used for photogrammetry/remote sensing procurement History April ‘07 -- Initial Draft Executive Summary presented at ASPRS spring conference Jan., May ‘08: Revised Executive Summary presented at MAPPS and ASPRS conferences Summer ‘08: Final draft completed; intent is for wide dissemination and comment
