Synonyms: guarded, cautious Antonyms: careless, rash Kristy considered going to the party without telling her parents about it, but decided eventually to be discreet and tell her parents the truth.

4 obscure (v): to hide or darken; keep from being seen
Synonyms: cover, hide, darken Antonyms: clear, straightforward, definite During the eclipse, the sun was obscured by the moon.

5 posterity (n): future generations of people
Synonyms: successors, children, descendents Antonyms: parents Grandma saved her mother’s handmade quilts for posterity. She thought her own grandchildren would like to have them someday.
