4 Fats A component in food Help brain and nervous system develop we need 30% fat from calories Include: nuts, meat, butter, oil, etc… There are good and bad fats Types:  Saturated (bad fat)  Monounsaturated (beneficial fat)

5 Proteins A long chain molecule heal, grow and builds up tissues Form muscles, skin, teeth, hair, etc… Includes: meat, dairy, nuts, etc… Types:  Contractile (responsible for movement)  Hormonal (coordinate body activity)  Transport (move molecules around)

6 Fibre A substance found in plants Slows down eating process Contribute of feeling full Include: fruits, vegetables, grains, etc… Prevent diabetes, heart disease, etc… Types:  Soluble (from plant cell walls)  Insoluble (has beneficial effect)
