For example using a clip from movie that has a jaw dropping scene. Then allow the participants to discuss in an open form format.

3. Use prior knowledge to make a connection with your students. Life experience Excerpt from a book or movie News article We all have something in common. Notes: Allowing participants to share personal experiences helps to bring about empathy and connections. Everyone can relate to each. For its children, others, siblings, spouses etc. Life experiences are also a great way to connect. Don’t disassociate with your participants, Let them know you are human and have issues as well. You will gain their respect.

4. Have a lot of fun creating games Share your birth order assessment List or state your Characteristics. Have students guess your birth order. Notes: Allow your mind to run wild. Always include yourself into the activities. This can work as quick assessment to ensure that the participants are pay attention and are retaining the information. If they are engaged they are attentive and are learning.

It can be used in groups or by individuals.
