Sin can keep us from renewing our minds because we get caught up in it.

4. A Living Sacrifice Our bodies are a temple .4

Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Col 3:10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him.

5. We Can Bear a Lot 5
Gal 6:1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
Gal 6:2 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
We can handle a lot of physical and verbal abuse if we are standing up for our Lord and Saviour.
1Cor 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

6. Obedience 6
We must put God first within our lives everyday - no matter what the cost.
Daniel the 3rd chapter talks about Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
Daniel the 6th chapter talks about Daniel in the lions den.
Acts the 7th chapter talks about Stephen being stoned to death.
These men always put God first within their lives and they prospered.

7. Conclusion Renew our minds on a daily basis.7

Repent of our sins and mean it.
Present our bodies a living sacrifice.
Bear one another's burdens.
Be obedient to God.
