Confidentiality: Any information you have access to in the school or classroom is confidential. Please remember that any information pertaining to a child must be left in the classroom. It is the teacher’s role to communicate a student’s progress. Never express differences of opinion or dissatisfaction in the presence of others. Please take all suggestions, matters of concern or questions to the teacher in private.

Develop a positive relationship with the teacher Be their go to person for help. Direct other parents who have concerns to reach out to the teacher or administration as appropriate

In collaboration with the teacher and other grade level room parents, plan the Halloween, Valentine’s Day, and End of Year Celebrations. No food during Halloween and Valentine's Day parties Food is permitted for the end of year party. All food is to be store bought. The menu and ingredients of items are to be submitted to administration and the school nurse two weeks prior to party date for approval. Can not require payment for parties. Donations can be requested. Submit letter for approval to administration. Once plan is created – stick with plan.

Meet with teacher to determine the support and system they are planning to use to invite volunteers in the classroom. Manage the system with teacher Some teachers will manage system for themselves.

Maintain a current email list of all families in your classroom Distribute and solicit information for the teacher, school, and for the PTA
