7. Letter Grades Not Weighted Each assignment is worth X amount of points Based off of: Essays, Journal Presentations, In Class Work, Homework, Quizzes, Tests, Effort, and Participation

8. STANDARD BASED GRADES *Standards are criterion references *All students are evaluated on the same criteria *Standards are a 4 point scale system *Provides an opportunity to give specific feedback to students for growth

9. STANDARD BASED GRADES Criteria for Writing Standard Ideas and Support Organization Sentence Fluency Voice and Word Choice Conventions Demonstrates Appropriate Behavior Follows Directions Completes Assignments On Time Uses Time Wisely

STANDARD BASED GRADES 4 Point Scale *A 4 means the student is exceeding expectations in that area *A 3 means the student is meeting the expectations in that area *A 2 means the student is struggling to meet all the expectations for that area *A 1 means the student is struggling and needs improvement to meet the expectations for that area
