2 Facts about rainforests Giant bamboo plants grow 9 inches a day 30 million species of plant and animals live here The average temperature is 70 degrees and 80 degrees The dropping of birds grow new plants Chocolate comes from the rainforest You can make medicine there.

3 Rainforest layers

4 Food and Water Before you eat the food you have to cook it first, there are different ways you can do this, boil it or burn it. Also there are different kinds of meat you can eat, like, Monkeys and various types of birds. Fruit is always available like apples. You can also make bread. Some more foods you can eat are, bananas, corn, oranges, tomatoes, avocadoes, lemons, cashews, squash, pineapples, passion fruit, coconut and chocolate.

5 Shelter 1.You need to find a decent spot 2.Grab some sticks, you can easily get these of a tree. You will find they are very big 3.Place the sticks near a tree, 2 on each side. 4.You will find some brown long rope it will be very strong. Wrap them around the tree. Make sure you tie the ropes properly. Or you will fall of your hammock in the night. 5.Grab some palm trees and put them on top of the sticks for a roof

6 Protecting yourself If you are in a rainforest, then don’t panic because if you do then you will get hungry. Make sure you have sun cream on at all times. Keep your arms and legs covered because if you don’t then you’ll get insect bites. Don’t go to the toilet in the river If a spider sticks to you then use Vaseline to take it of with

7 Things that you need to keep with you Always have water with you Sun cream Bug bite cream Sun hat First aid kit Bow and arrow or something to kill animals with Net Stick Vaseline Have a waterproof bag to put these things inside

8 Other information If you do get a cut deal with it straight away Wear waterproof shoes or rubber shoes Eat some of the fruit you are familiar with. Don’t eat the bugs or big animals that look poisonous. Look for dead branches and twigs if you want to make a fire. The ground of the rainforest will be dense and wet. Take a stick or a big long branch with you when you go walking. So you can move the leaves around with it. There are a lot of pointy leaves and things. If you see flies then you are near water. Flies are always near water.

9 How to make a fire Gather dry wood Some sharp. A rock Rub them together You need to make a spark If your fire is to small then, add more dry wood to it

10 Poisonous animals Some animals that you see and maybe touch can be poisonous. So you need to be careful of what you eat. The bright colours on some animals can tell you if they are poisonous or not
