Scoville scale The Bhut jolakia is currently the world’s hottest chilli at 1 041 000 SHU (Scoville heat units). 0.001g/l of capsaicin is the equivalent of 15 SHU. The Infinity chilli is a new chilli bred in the UK. It’s capsaicin concentration has been measured at 0.256M. What is its SHU? Do we have a new world record?
