Interaction This animation shows what happens when a single “charged soliton” enters the network and interacts with the “background solitons” circulating in the network
2
Interaction A red “charged soliton” with a=2.3 is launched into the network, within which green ”background solitons” are circulating Output node Output is a background soliton Input is a charged soliton Input node Interaction Nodes Interaction The “charged soliton” interacts with the background solitons
3
Interaction Output node Output is a background soliton Interaction Nodes Two “charged solitons” (b=1.5, y=1.3) emerge from the interaction. The “charged solitons” carry on the input information throughout the network a=2.3 x=1 b=1.5 y=1.3 Input is a background soliton Input node
4
Interaction Interaction Nodes At t=t f, the input stream of “charged solitons” is terminated. In spite of this “zero-information input”, the “charged solitons” continue to circulate in the network. That is, the network has memory. Input is a background soliton Input node Output node Output is a charged soliton
