Plant Life Cycle (comparisons w/ Metamorphosis) Plants – seed germination seedling (sprout) --takes in WATER thru roots/produces FOOD in its leaves/passes food & H2O in stem-- full grown plant with flower (flowering plants – make seeds) some flowers produce fruit (that fruit holds the seeds of the plant). --Flowers/fruits/cones= seeds for REPRODUCTION-- Pollination occurs in the flowers The seed is formed after pollination This is when the cycle begins again Life Cycle – distinct stages that make up an organism’s life.
