Take a fun photo Consider Strong contrast Focus Save to a flash drive

Use Photoshop Save image to 8.5 x 11 Click on layer – start new Select Photo – copy – paste Click on image Choose mode Choose grayscale

Click on image again Choose adjustments Choose posterize Experiment to get 5 values Plus white and black Save image

Value changes make shapes On your photo identify shapes create by value changes Outline with a colored sharpie Shapes will fit together like a puzzle Turn over your paper and see Trace - transfer your outlines onto poster board

In class we will review; Values Mixing tints and shades Colors create moods Contrast Proper set up - clean up Choose your color for monochromatic tints on skin Identify and paint light values first
